  • This 1U rackmount synth is a full Access Virus C, just without all the knobs and 3U smaller. Access makes the best virtual analog synths *period*. Nobody does it better. Twisting the knobs and changing settings is a joy as their software eliminates the stairstep/zipper effect so common in virtual analog synths. Each successive Virus synth is better than the last and worth the upgrade. The Virus TI is a whole lot better and does a ton of absolutely amazing things, but it's not available in a 1U box like this. This synth wasn't available for too long so finding one is pretty difficult and you'll pay a pretty penny for it. I have owned just about every synth out there and not much compares to it. The Waldorf Q and Nord Lead are in the same family, but they aren't nearly as flexible. It's probably not worth buying solely for noise due to the price, but it would definitely be worth it if money was no object.
  • Good Points: The best virtual analog sound you'll ever get. Tiny 1U enclosure.
  • Bad Points: Expensive. Difficult to program without software.
  • Price Paid: US$0.00
