Moog Music Phaser MF-103

Moog Music Phaser MF-103

Phasing is one of the best ways to impart motion to a track and to make sounds come alive. With the MF-103 Phaser you can get swirling, shimmering, vibrating effects; fill up a whole stage from one sound source; even create brand new sonic textures. You can create phasing sweeps that are so slow and subtle that they operate on a subliminal level, or so fast that your instrument sound becomes virtually unrecognizable--or anything in between. Power supply is included: order 110v for use in US or Canada or 220v for use in Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price: $399.00

  • This is one of the more expensive moogerfoogers. but it's totally worth it. you have massive control. the lfo amount knob is in of itself one of the best features a phaser could ever have.. at zero setting the phase is stopped making it much like a comb filter. then the lfo rate will go far into fm territory.. plus the use of the cv inputs in back makes this easily one of the most controllable phasers ever made. no tricks, no double lfo, no built in variable waveforms. but it sounds anything but annoying and cheap as most phasers do. phasers like filters are an effect that sound richest in an analog format.
  • Good Points: will last forever. slick analog sound (seriously it's not hot air.. try one). excellent controls
  • Bad Points: xpensiv big and clunky stupid moogerfooger wallwarts!!! uhh so these are made for guitarists? who don't even understand what they do? wtf?

  • a subtle, very smooth phaser, where other phasers sound trite, this one sounds cool. fun oscillations. can add harshness to signal occasionally at more drive settings(the built in preamp is a booster, NOT a tone machine). really wet sounding.
  • Good Points: GREAT phaser
  • Bad Points: harshness sometimes when overdriven
