  • this pedal has bass all day. the overdrive is completely out of control. with a guitar, it'll be feeding back even at really really low volumes. shit is totally crazy. it kind of flattens out your sound... obviously, it's an extreme distortion pedal. but it can be made sound better by putting an EQ after it, or something. it sounds great for bass guitar, but don't let your bass player use it if you want to hear anything else!!
  • Good Points: low end boss adequate gain totally overwhelming
  • Bad Points: kind of flat overwhelming

  • This pedal is good for making a staticy fuzz sound if you roll the treble off. It 's really good to kick another distortion into wall of sound country. I would recommend it if you want a second pedal that's out of the ordinary.
  • Good Points: It does distort your signal very well is its own unique way.
  • Bad Points: It only really makes one sound, but it does it well.

  • Not as Versatile as the Metal Zone. but if you need a another high gain distortion to add an extra "overdriven" sound to another effect this bad boy is a good beginng.
  • Good Points: solid boss construction, overall not a primary distortion but a great high gain distortion
  • Bad Points: none yet...
  • Price Paid: US$32.00

  • The Hyper Metal is an alright pedal. It's solid and constant like everything Boss makes. For tweaking and whatnot, it's not so fantastic. But for hooking to other pedals, it really provides a dirty distortion. Especially to delay.
  • Good Points: Constant/solid sound Tough Hooks up to other pedals well Good feedack
  • Bad Points: Not too much tweak power Doesn't get too white-noisy
