DigiTech Turbo Flange

DigiTech Turbo Flange

The Hyper Phase™ and the Turbo Flange™ each deliver 7 operational modes, instead of the typical one mode only that you find in some other pedals. These operational modes are easily selectable using the mode control allowing you to choose from a selection of awesome voicing sounds, triggering feature, and useful step functions. Now you are no longer limited to a one-trick pedal. You can dial in the exact phaser or flanger sound you want! Both the Hyper Phase™ and the Turbo Flange™ each have Speed, Depth, Regen, and Mode controls. Outputs for both pedals include Left/Mono and Right.

  • Stereo flanger with 7 different flanging modes
  • Good Points: mode 7 sounds really neat... clanky! The different modes all sound decent, a definite improvement over the DOD FX 75B I was using before! Much sturdier and more flexible, and a little bit smaller in size...
  • Bad Points: A lot of the voices sound a bit too similar to my ears (and through my crappy PC speaker audio "system"). Sometimes the flanging can drown out certain nuances of sounds... The switch is a bit awkward to press. (can be difficult to turn on/off without having to whack it).

  • I wanted a flanger for my vocals and as I like Digitech a lot I got the Turbo Flange. As many other Digitech boxes this little sucker has lots of operation modes. Simple flangers, triggers and one total insane random-thingie. The simple flangers and the triggered ones are really nice for vocals, the more extreme stuff can add some chaos to your feedback loop. It is a stereo box, which adds some nice possibilities for feedback-loop routing. As all the Digitech boxes this thing is built like a tank, heavy knobs, great construction.
  • Good Points: - loads of operation modes - stereo - perfect construction
  • Bad Points: - very dominant sound, which easily can bury your source signal

  • This was another Surplus/Salvage store purchase ... and because of an error on the part of the person drafting sales invoices, I got a magnificent price. I have only used mine with an electric guitar and in a feedback loop.
  • Good Points: Step (sample/hold) mode can be loads of fun and thickens up nicely in a feedback loop. A few of the other settings are very rich sounding for a digital processor ... and transform into bass heavy thuds in a feedback loop that are much more ballsy than what a DOD Vibrothang can produce (even without any distortion accompaniment). The same settings can work well with several of the modes. It combines well with a Digitech Synth Wah in a feedback loop, yielding the sound of tree frogs, dying robots, armaggeddon, etc.
  • Bad Points: Step mode and some of the other sounds are thin and can be drowned out by distortion outside of a feedback loop. The bypass can create unwanted noise with other effects.

  • this pedal has some decent flange effects, but they are so heavy and thick that you can barely hear what you are playing through all the flanging.
