  • On one hand - it adds some iteresting textures to your sound, on the other - it can sometimes cause a significant volume drop which is quite annoying. The eq is quite decent (but nothing like the excellent eq on the BOSS metal zone), it's capable of producing deep bass. Try it first.
  • Good Points: - Paint job - Eq - Contruction
  • Bad Points: - Volume drop

  • Yeah, it's kind of gritty... But also pretty tame (Much like the Boss Xtortion, this pedal's name is very deceptive). I have to say, this pedal's kin of "meh"... Not too bad, but... "meh"... It's also good to note that this doesn't actually have echo, it has "EHO" which is some type of modelling algorithm or some-such by DOD. A lot of people seem to misread that, actually! (I thought it said echo until I got it up close). This pedal is more of an overdrive than "GRIND"ing distortion (It actually says "overdrive" in smaller text on the pedal)... The low output volume can be improved with an EQ afterwards.
  • Good Points: Somewhat interesting tonal character, perfect for starting loops (Has dual outputs).
  • Bad Points: Higher frequencies are pretty much not there... The lows aren't that great, though. Output volume is not nearly loud enough. The "Speaker Out" literally makes your audio sound like a low-res. MP3... I don't know what kind of speaker is supposed to make that sound good... Best to only use that as the return out when used at the end of a loop...

  • a very stronge and gritty overdrive. it says it has echo but it is hardly noticble, and i believe it only adds to the distortion, i.e. thickening the sound. this not being a bad point at all in my opinion. really strong for vocals as well as the usual feed a singnal into it mode...but it also has "stereo" outs that can be used in a feedback loop quite effectively. this wouldnt be my only distortion but coupled with another it works magic...
  • Good Points: solid dod construction has one of the new battery covers great paint job excellent thick sound and overall quality
  • Bad Points: stupid names on the controls of course not being made any more
