But be warned, if you've been bemused, befuddled and bamboozled by our previous creations then this is not the pedal for you! Defying all known boundaries of taste and decency - bells with balls (but definitely not the belle at the ball) - the big, fat, smokin', trouser-defying Ring Stinger is a ring modulator/fuzz octave doubler/repeater/dirt box/optical synth all rolled into one. We believe (correct us if we're wrong!) that the Ring Stinger is the only commercially available ring mod using the classic transformer matrix modulator (and not the ubiquitous modulator chip) which gives it the distictive vintage ring mod sound and germanium distortion. klangs, bells, metallic fx, pseudo vocoder fx, dalek noises, sci-fi atmospherics, spooky warbling, trem arpeggios, tonal toggling, touch sensitive keying, pitch crossfiring, microtonal + atonal fx, evolving drones, digeridoo fx and not least the meanest graunchiest octave fuzz ever - and these are just for starters! - wow, everything you've heard about this pedal is true. it sounds great with just about any sound pumping through it, and when you start adding pedals to the VCO/in loop you can get some unusual sounds out of it. i made a few more photocell sensors for it and play it with a strobe sometimes. also takes expression pedals for both LFO depth and VCO freq. the blend knob is a great thing for switching around between sounds and has a nice wide range. the different waveforms really provide different sounds.
- Good Points: just an amazing pedal all around, steep learning curve but well worth your money and your time. to quote the previous review - "ultra-flexability"
- Bad Points: expensive, and i'm always worried about scratching the paint. i never use the fuzz.

- This thing is great. Yeah, it's expensive, but it's worth it if you have the cash. It's a Ring Modulator, but it's also a lot more than that. It'll act as an octave fuzz pedal by hitting the right-hand switch; you can switch the LFO on and off with a footswitch; you can use an expression pedal to control almost any parameter (VCO, LFO speed, etc)... You can make wild UFO sounds, pitch swoops, mechanical android speech, and a lot more. I've been really happy with it.
- Good Points: Ultra-flexibility, a wide variety of different sounds, tons of control, you can use several expression pedals at once. It's also built like a tank, all metal.
- Bad Points: It's expensive, and it'll take you a while to figure out everything it can do.
