Tym Tripletone Distortion
This pedal is our distortion pedal based on the MXR distortion +. The distortion circuit is very similar to this pedal. However, we have several other features you might like. First, it has more gain on both volume and distortion (how many people run their MXR at ten and want more?). Secondly, it has treble and bass controls, both of which are cut and gain. This gives you much more control over the sound you're after. Also things like LED and external power supply make it more "livable" in today's scene. The really special thing about the Tripletone is how it got it's name. It has a switch that allows you to pick the type of sound you want. You have the choice of running the distortion circuit through germanium transistors (Vintage warm sound), silicon transistors (a more modern slightly harsher sound*) or LED's (very harsh, crisp metal sound). This makes the classic MXR sound suitable for almost anyone.
