Moog Music Control Processor CP-251

The moogerfooger CP-251 Control Processor is a collection of classic basic circuits for generating, modifying, combining, and distributing control signals. Used in connection with one or more moogerfooger analog effects modules or other voltage-controlled gear, the CP-251 forms a modular analog synthesizer system, with the same kind of power and versatility of the classic MOOG modular synthesizers. Power supply is included: order 110v for use in US or Canada or 220v for use in Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia.

  • if you are into some really weird pedals then YOU NEED THIS. this kinda throws you into the days of modular synthesis. the noizician these days builds his own "poor man's" modular synth. since modulars cost 10's of thousands of dollars. We build or "rigs" out of simple noiz generators and signal processors. What this thing does is control aspects of other devices by sending them CV signals. you can control many aspects of those CV signals. it provides a SAW wave and a SQUARE wave. you can then mix those or lag them and do several other things too them as you send them out to control your devices. it even has a 'noise' generator as well and a sample and hold feature. If you are into Metasonix, Moogerfoogers, Frostwave, LAL, or anything that can accept CV input then you want one of these. It's like having invisible hands adjust variables on your pedals for you. When i hooked it up to my MuRF it really created some new sounds all together. those of you with a MuRF know that thing is already versatile enough by itself! Then i hooked it up to my TM-1 SE and....Fracken HELL. I was destroying even more things and it created more angles to assault the noiz.
  • Good Points: super compact. super well built. a lag circuit. the red connections can send voltage for Expression Pedals. that way can manipulate the sounds with the knobs and your feet.
  • Bad Points: a bit pricey but it is money well spent. nothing to really say that would be bad.
  • Price Paid: US$349.00
