Danelectro PB & J DJ-17

Danelectro PB & J DJ-17

The Danelectro PB&J Delay DJ-17 gives you up to a full one second of warm delay sounds. The LONG/SHORT foot switch lets you choose between a long or short delay time allowing you to use 2 different delay settings all with the warmth of a tape echo. This pedal is amazing for the price!

  • Small, simple, useful. The delay tone has a bit of analog warmth, and the lowpass filtering effect inherent to analog delay pedals.
  • Good Points: Compact, cheap.
  • Bad Points: Slight volume drop. Small knobs. A bit too subtle for my needs.

  • I was pleasantly surprised when i tested this out at a local music store. Nice sounding delays, not too digital sounding and not too muddy. short/long switch is useful. I'd highly recommend this to those who want a delay but are strapped for cash. Seemed fairly solid as far as construction goes, i had a danelectro flanger that held up to many years of abuse, so i'd say this one would last as well.
  • Good Points: great delay for the price.
  • Bad Points: tiny knobs...

  • Nice sounding cheap delay pedal. I didn't fancy splashing out for a typical Boss Delay so I got this. Its capable of making nice loops and has served me well so far. The two different delay settings have potential for some good use, I have not used it live yet, but I think it can take a few knocks despite its plastic case.
  • Good Points: Cheap, light weight, solution recomended to try it out at least once. Value for money, works cool in harsh noise.
  • Bad Points: My one comes with a hard plastic cover over the small dials that makes it fidderly to change the settings but this can be removed. No real bad points.
