  • Not sure which model this refers to, but I'll be reviewing the orange Fender Starcaster Flanger pedal. I picked this up as an outboard flanger to use in the effects loop of my Rupture pedal, and have wound up using it in almost every noise setup thusfar. It has four knobs on it, for Depth, Rate, Manual and Resonance. The flange effect is very thick on this pedal, even when the depth is rolled back a bit. The rate knob is typical, from swooshing Hendrix to wobbly death-ray sounds. The resonance knob is the real killer on this thing. With the right amount of push behind it, cranking the resonance up on this thing will SHRED your eardrums. A pretty simple little box, but a good addition to any noise setup.
  • Good Points: - Solid metal construction - Nice tone-shaping quality - Works well on vocals, noise loops, guitar noise, bass, just about anything - It's so orange and ugly you'll never lose it
  • Bad Points: - The manual knob doesn't have a whole lot of noticeable effect on things, very subtle if any. - Knobs are a little cramped together
