  • Excellent sounding overdrive distortion pedal that is traded around too quickly due to the reasonably low cost, many versions, and saturation in the boutique pedal marketplace. This pedal can do SRV to AC/DC with a flip of a knob. Optional 18V power in juices it for more touch response. This is my second time to buy one (V4), and almost let it go in lieu of a Crowther Hot Cake, until I found the heavy settings on the pedal that provide excellent VH to Satch sounds. Add a touch of delay and you're there!
  • Good Points: - 9v/18v option opens up unlimited tonal abilities - Extremely versatile to stack with other pedals, or flip between clean boost, slight edge, and heavy dirt - Small footprint - Extremely well-built - Cleans up well - Great resale value (can find many used ones on The Gear Page)
  • Bad Points: - Hard to keep from fiddling with it, since it's so versatile - Saturation of pedal in marketplace has caused it to lose some of it's aura - Colors sound even at cleanest settings (but it's not advertised as a clean boost, and that still sounds good)
  • Price Paid: US$100.00
  • Purchased At: used (can find new at Pro Guitar Shop)
