  • As the other reviews have stated, not what its cracked up to be. However, I have found good uses for it. The three "instrument" settings really only help control the amount of gain. I keep that switch on "mic", since its the most extreme of the three. Sounds great for adding a bit of grit to vocals (P.E. anyone?) and its a good "boost" for any lower level signals that need some gain. I've also used this with tape recorders and had excellent results. All in all, I like this pedal, however, I wouldn't pay over for one.
  • Good Points: -Three different "instrument" settings. -The other switch next to that one with the three different settings. -The "Level" knob. -High and Low filters help you sculpt your sound. -Good for crunchy, gritty and scratchy sounds. -Its a 7 series. -Subtle at times.
  • Bad Points: -Not the odd-ball noise maker you might think it is. -Subtle at times.

  • This isn't the life changing masterclass is weirdness that I read about, but worked out for the better.with your delay and reverb flapping in the wind and a solid fuzz behind you, sweep those knobs to get the grime.I did a track with this called 'Whale' and the sonar I got out of this at the end sounded ghostlike. It's got a weird battery catch though-any fierce stomp springs it open. It's got a great access compartment despite that.Love the Tone-Lok knobs as well-really smart!
  • Good Points: good gnarly sound-ace knobs-easy battery access-good range of tones-plenty of gain-good power-sound horrendous with fuzz
  • Bad Points: hair-trigger battery compartment-if you put on the 'mic' setting by mistake it makes your cones flap

  • The Ibanez press on this pedal makes it sound WAY more interesting than it is, it really isn't much more than an overdrive/distortion w/ hi and lo-pass filters. That said, the filters WILL remove either all the highs or all the lows from your sound, but I was hoping for more of an adjustable busted AM radio sort of effect. Being that I tested it out in a pawn shop w/ only limited resources it could prove way cooler than I think, and if I find one for about -30 I'll pick it up, but I have a number of other pedals that can do a similar job. One plus is that there is a switch for guitar, drums, or mic, depending on what you have plugged into it, and set on mic w/ the level all the way up the thing just squeals like nobody's business, w/ only a 1/4" cable plugged into it (main reason I think it could stand further exploration.). Also, w/ a signal running through it and the level and drive cranked it gives you a big time gain boost. If you're short on distortion and filtering effects this may fit the bill and add a bit of convenience by combining the two effects.
  • Good Points: Big gain boost w/ level and drive maxed, hi and low filters remove either or from your sound
  • Bad Points: Filters not very resonant, Ibanez press makes it sound like some whacked out noise making machine
