  • i have had and used this unit for 5 years now and, while it does (for better or worse) exhibit some digital "coldness." this can usually be cleared up by using a tube pre right after it in the signal chain. I find i rarely use it on bass, but often use it on keyboards and circuit bent toys as a multi effects unit. The amp sims allow a huge variety of tones, though the specific models dont always sound like what they are aiming for.

the synth settings (which are accessed as part of the distortion settings) are interesting and make a great layer to run other synths thru as they dont often "latch" onto the tome correctly and create some strange and interesting artifacts in the signal when they are tracking the note incorrectly.
  • Good Points: many many effects portable

    huge sonic shaping potential
  • Bad Points: ignore the presets, most are a bit over the top digital sounding

needs outboard footpedal to get the most out of the unit
  • Price Paid: US$250.00
  • Purchased At: guitar center
