Noise Custom Guitar Systems Dirt Box

Noise Custom Guitar Systems Dirt Box

The DIRT BOX is a multi-channel distortion and routing system, developed as a convenient, and easy to use, replacement to midi control systems. It has been primarily designed for guitarists and bassists with lots of equipment, and provides an ideal way to control it all. It has two in built distortion channels with independant controls and voicings, aswell as a vast array of switchable FX loops and channel splitting facilities. All of this has been crammed into a box the size of a VHS cassette case, and will run from a single 9 Volt PP3 battery.

  • A very well thought out piece of kit With a lot of switching applications and two differently voiced distortion channels! My unit seems to have a differently voiced clean outs as well ( intentionally or not) Which I like with my Parker fly piezo out! I've had this pedal for 3 years now. It takes time to navigate, but, I love it now!
  • Good Points: Low noise, well made with high end components 1 guitar can be routed to four amps and has pre gain effects loops for varied switching applications Dist 1 is like a hot rodded ts9 Dist 2 sounds like a mxr dist+ with added treble cut. Multiple guitars can be switched between ( not mixed) and clean outputs are very clean Setting different sounds up in the studio is quick and easy, especiallly if one uses four amps for different tone and gain structures and mic'ing Gigging wise I use it as a switch between my magnetic and piezo outputs of the Parker Fly and both on thru 2 amps It has a small footprint.. Battery life is very good. And the LEDs used are simple to see and understand
  • Bad Points: Very sharp edges to the pedal. Battery access is slightly small and fiddely

I bought this originally to run 1 distortion into the 2nd stage ala SRV ,Neil Young and Brian May! But I haven't been able to achieve this yet!
