OK! Ive just A/B/C'd the Pearl AD-08 alongside an Ibanez AD-80 & a Boss DM-2. It was the one which sounded the most different by far. It has much darker repeats, the AD-80 had the brightest most pristine repeats by far. Whether or not darker sounding repeats is a good or bad thing is a matter of personal taste I guess but I personally would like to have both options at hand.
Good Points: The ability to mix between dry & wet signals is a great advantage of the AD-08. Two separate knobs as opposed to the AD-80's one mix control. The DM-2 cannot be mixed at all.
Bad Points: If you want your repeats to ring out very pristinely this is not your best choice but Hey! Its an analog delay, if clarity is what you seek, go digital (or AD-80) This one is very different to any other ive heard which I think is a good thing, It definately has its place. They dont go cheap anymore either.

great little, solid pedal from the 80's. nice clear and long delay, algo great to play around with the buttons to create the "landing UFO" sounds. the best delay pedal i've come through yet.
they are pretty rare now, but if you find one, BUY IT!
you have my word for it, you won't regret!
