Rocktron Silver Dragon

Rocktron Silver Dragon

The Rocktron Silver Dragon Tube Distortion Pedal combines the best of both worlds-tube and analog solid-state distortion! This dual-headed beast can deliver whatever distortion flavor you're wanting. For that tube sound you love, the Silver Dragon has a 12AX7. The Awaken switch rouses the tube for duty while Fire handles the initial distortion drive level of the 12AX7. When you kick in the solid-state side, called Slayer, you combine the tube distortion with solid state distortion to give you tons of gain with tight, punchy distortion, completely tweakable to your liking. The Intensity control changes the character, sustain, and attack properties that together enhance articulation. The Breath control shapes the symmetry of the solid-state distortion affecting the feel of the distortion. Global controls include Shriek for handling treble frequencies, Roar for low-end control, and an output level control.

  • My friend used this piece of shit about three years((( all of us didnt like it but he was continuing to use it =D it hasnt got an overdrive or distortion!!! It only has shitty noise and its very expensive for sounding like that. Iam stronly reccomending you not to use this pedal. • i would never have picked up this pedal myself, but my job often gets me some wierd free toys and this was one of them. This pedal is mono in and mono out valve state distortion coupled with a solid state distortion. This pedal is noisey as all get out, but can make an amazing range of noise. The settings are all named in quite silly ways such as shriek, fire adn roar...mmm dragony goodness. I dont find myself using this too often as the noise is pretty loud and i dont have a noisegate and find myself often surprised by how much I like the sound. On bass it provides a very nice "Jesus and Mary Chain" kind of tone with both distortion sides activated.
  • Good Points: 2 distortions in one package a plethera of distortion tones
  • Bad Points: silly named knobs no on/off switch....when plugged in it is on no battery option
  • Price Paid: US$0.00
