Vermona Retroverb

Vermona Retroverb

The Vermona Retroverb unifies the classic spring reverb sound with a voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) and filter all in one classy wooden paneled housing. This unique combination brings the user a highly flexible and versatile effect, that one will rarely find in other electro - mechanical devices.

The Retroverb is built around an Accutronics spring reverb unit. It uses actual springs inside the housing (yeah, you can hear them bouncing around in there sometimes!) and produces a rich, full reverb effect with a unique character.

  • very versitile, noisy, deep reverb. as mentioned before the crash is kinda soft... but.. it can be triggered via cv/gate/ audio! soooo.. with the filter and eq this now becomes a controlable spring noise machine. from kicks to crashes and all kinds of clatter and clanks. as a straight verb im notcompletey sold on it, however the use as a sound module makes this well worth the price. especially used.
  • Good Points: doubles as a sound module verb can be bypassed for use of the filer and eq verb can get pretty friggin deep
  • Bad Points: crash sounds a little soft(if your buying it soley for that why the fuck you wouldnt just get the knas ekdahl verb is beyond me) its pricey and finally as also mentioned the filter is very subtle( more for actual tone control than effect)

  • Great spring reverb/filter with envelope. The input has a gain knob and a 4 way knob for phase shifting an filter or/and springreverb. The filter is 12db and a bit subtle. Korg MS 10 filter is a bit harsher than vermona. But it's a nice bonus upon the typical accutronics spring sound. And the envelope makes it more controleble. And the 3 CV inputs mke it possible to use with a modular set-up.
  • Good Points: The spring reverbs controlebility and filter+envelope is a useful tool when you like to experiment with sounds and noises. The CV input for crash is realy nice.
  • Bad Points: Crash is a bit soft. Not Thunderous like when you hit your amp with springreverb.
