- Ive used this mostly as a reverb for vocals for some of my shows and recordings.
This effect makes alot of hissing and buzzing noises when used at loud volume, which is not so good if your aiming for studio quality sounds. The good thing about it is that the tunnel reverb reminds me a little bit of the spring reverbs from the 70ies. In my opinion its best to use live or for reharshal purposes, but it isnt good enough for a high class studio recording.
Its easy to get some cheezy donald duck type of vocal sounds when using the vocoder or the filter effects, but I dont find this very useful for a noise, power electronic or industial sound.
You can get a pretty nice distorted sound when peaking, which is useful for some vocal processing. I would call this an okay thing to buy for beginners, or if you need a reverb/effect rack for your reharshal place. - Good Points: Cheap,
good reverbs and delays nice rusty 70ies feeling on some of the reverbs. - Bad Points: Noisy at loud volume Mostly a reverb/delay unit, the multieffect part is not so good. Not good enough for studio work

- The 1201 is worth getting as a rack FX unit if you can find one cheap. The ring mod and vocoder effects alone are probably worth the price of admission. They are not hugely noisy, but are good for destroying sound and each effect has 11 variations to give a wide variety of intensity and character. For noise, the nice thing about the 1201 is that several of the effects will go into self-oscillating feedback when the output is cranked past the 3 or so. I know that at least the Lo-Fi EFX, Vo-DIST, and ROTARY effects will produce great howling, shrieking, or booming feedback depending on the source sound and the variant setting. Also, the unit will clip easily if overdriven, adding an additional layer of fuzz to the output. The reverb effects (one-third of the unit) are useless due to nasty hissing noise. - Good Points: Decent vocoder and ring mod FX Produces some hideous shreiking feedback and distortion at high output Hours of fun playing with cheesy delay and pitch bend FX
- Bad Points: Despite the name, better live than studio since it's pretty noisy (in the not so good way) Reverbs utterly useless
