DigiTech Double Play PDS 2700

DigiTech Double Play PDS 2700

The PDS 2700 is a seperate digital delay and chorus in one double-wide pedal. The delay is able to go from the quick, short slapback to longer delays and can even do infinite looping. Has a delay speed knob that allows you to create some warbly sort of sounds.

  • decent delay with infinite repeat, which is comparable to any other delay on the market (dod, digitech's newer ones, etc.) its only 1 second, but that isnt bad at all. the chorus is alright too, not the greatest one out there, but deffinately better then alot...
  • Good Points: solid construction decent delay/chorus
  • Bad Points: big collectors item
  • Price Paid: US$50.00

  • a digtech 1 sec delay+infinite play and a chorus. The delay and chorus sound pretty typical when used. Not bad, but nothing too interesting. However, it has stereo outs, so its easy to feed the main out back into the input, at which point it gets much more interesting. It oscillates very nicely with a nice distortion to it. It never makes the ear piercing sine wave oscillations most pedals due (even other digitechs in the same line) but kind of churns out lovely low pitched distorted rumbling. Both the chorus and delay settings do this. It seems like there must be a high gain opamp somewhere in the midst, and maybe a low pass filter. But it makes it a nice way to generate a "rumblings" sound source without chaining half a dozen peadls together.
  • Good Points: well built, stereo outs so easy to feedback, good base sound source, pretty cheap, the "inifite repeat" makes it easy to freeze a sound
  • Bad Points: hmm, nothing particular. Anything that might apply to any digitech pds goes (large, getting old, plastic switches that sometimes stick)
