Electro Harmonix Poly Chorus
The Electro Harmonix Poly Chorus combines chorus, vibrato, and flanging in a single pedal, with a 12AX7 tube in its preamp stage to add warmth and harmonic richness to the processed signal. Its controls include Rate, which sets the speed of the modulation; Depth, which adjusts the intensity of the pitch or time variation; and Blend, which mixes the dry and effected signals. A Mode switch selects between chorus, vibrato, and flanger operations, while a separate Filter control shapes the tone of the modulated signal, making it brighter or darker. The pedal also features a footswitchable bypass and an expression pedal input for real-time control over the Rate parameter, allowing the modulation speed to be swept manually. The Poly Chorus can produce everything from subtle, slow chorusing to deep, jet-like flanging, with the vibrato mode removing the dry signal entirely for a pitch-shifting effect. Its stereo outputs allow for a wide, spacious sound when connected to two amplifiers, while a mono input accepts standard guitar signals.

- This has chorus, flange, double track, and another effect that makes things sound very robot-like or robotic, if you will. You're dealing with 5 knobs here, so if you're a two or three knob man, this pedal may not be for you. The good news is that the "Poly Chorus" compensates for its over abundance of knobs by providing only one on/off switch, making it simpler for the user.
- Good Points: There's some really gnarly effects. Jimmy Page would totally shit himself. The feedback knob makes the noise go, like, totally out of control! With the chorus pedal I get this noises that are, like....fucking -- I don't know -- fucking, like, alien noises and shit. I swear to God in heaven that what I say is the truth. I do not lie in my life, and I'm not lying now.
- Bad Points: It kind of hurts your foot if you stomp down on the "on/off" switch without any shoes on.
