Ibanez Compressor (TS-9 Series) CP-9

Ibanez Compressor (TS-9 Series) CP-9

It has three knobs...attack time, level, and threshold. It has a bright, punchy sound. Can be noisy i f you set threshold to maximum setting...

  • This review is based on being used for a Bass. That said, THIS IS the best compressor I have ever used. I tried Boss, DOD, Digitech, Behringer, Arion, Yamaha and others I don't even remember over the years. All the knobs really work and adjust sound unlike the other brands. I bought this pedal new in 1982. Then it was ripped off at a gig about 10 years ago. I tried all those other and ended up back with the CP9. This really wakes up any bass on any amp at any volume. Every note is clearer, more full bodied & all the same volume . 3 knobs, Attack, level, sustain
  • Good Points: It's a high quality pedal in construction & sound. You can buy a cheaper one but if you ever try this one you'll hear the difference right away. Very thick metal box, hand wired thick circuit board, easy battery change.
  • Bad Points: Price. Not made by Ibanez any more. Used ones can be up there in price.
  • Price Paid: US$100.00
  • Purchased At: Ebay
