The Maestro Octave Box combines an octave effect with a delay in a single pedal. Its octave section generates a signal one octave below the input, and a blend control mixes this sub-octave with the dry signal. The delay section offers controls for repeat rate and feedback, where the rate sets the time between repeats and feedback determines how many echoes occur before they fade. An effect level control balances the delayed signal against the dry sound, allowing the delay to sit subtly or prominently in the mix. The pedal operates with a standard 9V DC power supply and features a bypass switch to engage or mute the effect chain.
