  • Quite possibly the worst distortion pedal I've ever used and not in a good way. Tons of hum, flimsy jacks, not much gain, and terrible tone control. No matter where you tweak that Tone knob, it sounds like a solid state practice amp with the EQ tweaked at random. Added a bit of crackling to the top of other pedals in a chain, but I can't see any practical noise applications for this, aside from bending it. Sucks hard.
  • Good Points: It works and has three knobs.
  • Bad Points: Everything else.

  • Rogue seems to be the company making pedals one notch above Rocktek-- supposedly all the sounds you want for very low prices. This pedal purports to be the ultimate low-price metal distortion pedal... meh. At higher levels, it sounds more like loud tape hiss than metal distortion. Very little low end output, too. Much, much better than the Rocktek or even the standard Rogue distortion as far as volume goes, but still not really worth it when much better (and sturdier) pedals don't cost too much more on Ebay.
  • Good Points: Lots of noise.
  • Bad Points: Not necessarily the kind of noise you want. Light plastic construction.
