Yamaha Distortion with Modulation DM-100
The Yamaha DM-100 combines distortion with a modulation section, allowing the modulation effect to be placed before or after the distortion stage via a dedicated switch. The distortion side offers controls for drive, tone, and level, shaping the amount of gain, the brightness of the distorted signal, and the overall output volume. The modulation section provides rate and depth controls, which adjust the speed and intensity of the effect, with a mode selector to choose between chorus, flanger, and phaser types. A separate mix control blends the dry and modulated signals, and the modulation can be toggled on and off independently of the distortion. The pedal includes separate outputs for the distorted and modulated signals, enabling flexible routing to multiple amplifiers or effects chains.
