Audible Disease Infection IN-1

Audible Disease Infection IN-1

The Audible Disease Infection IN-1 is a deranged dual oscillator digital noise synthesizer that is controlled by a tiny finger operated joystick. Each of the two oscillators produces a fizzy saw tooth wave. The X-axis of the joystick controls the frequency of the first oscillator and the Y-axis controls the frequency of the other. This demented device can generate sounds all the way from relentless screeching highs down to severe rumbling lows. Extreme cacophony ensues when the two oscillators are slightly out of phase with each other. The intensity knob controls the vigor and color of the final sound. Plug in the Infection and give birth to audio torment. Powered only by a standard 9-volt power adapter (like the Visual Sound 1SPOT). Has a single 1/4 inch output jack.

  • This thing suits my purposes perfectly.. the joystick interface is fantastic and allows for wild and rapid modulation of each oscillator pitch. I also like using the on/off toggle switch to loose off short blasts of noise through a delay pedal. Running the IN-1 by itself produces some fantastic sounds but run it througha Zvex Fuzz Factory and yr in computerised bleep heaven!
  • Good Points: - Joystick interface. - Intensity knob allows for a reasonable wide range of tone colours to be produced. - Small in size. - Pretty cheap. - Fantastic elephant-design artwork.
  • Bad Points: Not a one!
