  • The first mixer I've bought/ used. Totally simple to use; nice number of channels; onboard effects; low price. If/ when I replace it, however, I'd rather just get an even cheaper Eurorack. Do I need internal FX? No, I have my own. Do I need 12 channels? No, I have but two hands. If you use a mixer to generate feedback loops, the extra channels may be helpful.
  • Good Points: Cheap
  • Bad Points: Internal FX don't sound BAD, but they are all completely untweakable presets... some channel bleeding at times, but not really bothersome (to me)...

  • I find the Xenyx 1202 to be a good, sturdy mixer. I like the EQ allot, and you can get some interesting sounds by running some pedals through the the FX send/return and messing with the send levels. Other than that, there isn't much to say; its a mixer, and it does its job. An off switch would be nice.
  • Good Points: - FX send gives some interesting results. - Can run 4 channels simultaneously, plus the FX loop and the CD input. - Well built
  • Bad Points: - no off switch.
  • Price Paid: US$115.00
