  • I picked this up used to try in a Floop. It makes some nice bird chirpy, burpy sounds, and some long wailing stuff. Mostly I just use it in a chain of atmospheric effects now, and it does a great job. I suppose if you just need straight flange there are cheaper pedals, but the multiple settings on this, and the bass input, make it worthwhile if flange is your thing (and you can find it on the cheap).
  • Good Points: Sturdy, great flange sounds, multiple settings, five knobs for twisty fun, tap tempo for flange speed.
  • Bad Points: If you don't like flange you'll be in trouble.

  • These previous reviews are dumb. I doubt these folks even own this pedal. This pedal is kick ass for noise! Sandwich it between two overdrives and get some wacked out synth sounds! The ULTRA mode is like a Flanger/Phaser hybrid. Maybe it should be called Flazer mode? The GATE/PAN is why I bought it. Its basically TREMELO/FLANGER. With tap tempo and in stereo it sounds killer!!!
  • Good Points: ULTRA mode is Flanger/Phaser in one. GATE/PAN mode is panning tremelo w/flanger. BASS input. Tap Tempo. MOMENTARY switch is like a "HOLD" switch.
  • Bad Points: sucks power from batteries. must use AC adapter.

  • dont really like it. it is rather annoying. nice in moderation but it gets really blippy and ruins my noise. not very good in a chain either. it really sucks the sound away when off and boosts it when on
  • Good Points: the two ins, two outs makes the bass in gives nice low flange sturdy the double knob makes for some good effects
  • Bad Points: obnoxious kills all the sound when turned off
  • Price Paid: US$20.00

  • When I first heard this pedal(BF-2)it was used by Prince. His flange is freaky. The BF-2 was not good for me. When the BF-3 came out it is what I wanted that hard flange.
  • Good Points: it has more flange
  • Bad Points: Listen to Prince live. I want that.

  • This sounds the same as the BF2. However it has some extra features. It has bass input which sounds much better, you get a lower frequency Flange which is much better for noise. You also get a stereo option which can be useful. It's got a number of modes as well which sound a bit more usfull for noise. Not that much different from the BF2 except the Bass input makes it worthwhile.
  • Good Points: Bass input, new modes.
  • Bad Points: Not that different to the BF2
