Boss Parametric Equalizer PQ-4
The Boss PQ-4 is a parametric equalizer pedal designed for shaping the tonal character of an instrument signal. It offers four independent parametric EQ bands, each with controls for adjusting the center frequency, bandwidth (Q), and level of that band. This allows for precise boosting or cutting of specific frequency ranges, from subtle tonal shaping to dramatic filtering. The pedal also includes a master output level control to compensate for any overall volume changes introduced by the EQ adjustments. It features a bypass switch to toggle the effect in and out of the signal path, and it operates on a standard 9-volt power supply.

- Great pedal for shaping the tonality of your signal, much better range than a graphic EQ. There are individual level controls for each frequency plus they are individually adjustable within specific ranges - low -18 to +18, mid 100 to 1.6k, and high 500 to 8k.
- Good Points: Wide variety of tonal possibilities
- Bad Points: Very sensitive, easy to lose settings, concentric knobs which control frequency range can be a pain when making quick adjustments
- Price Paid: US$35.00
