  • once you get past the fact that this is the signature pedal for the guy from Disturbed you can really enjoy the greatness of digitech. you got your level, for those who cry about missing volume knobs, control 1 and 2 which rely on the type. there are 7 types of pedals cramped into this little box. the point was to take all the studio effects that can't be recreated live recreatable. if i remember right 1 and 7 are metaly distortions. 2 is a pretty sick overdrive. 4 is a thick distortion with a wah affect on it. the next 3 effects are why i got the damn thing. although i was pleased with the distortions i don't like disturbed and don't want to douns like them. anyways, 5 is a sitar simulator. the 2 controls adjust the reverb and the whinny spring from of a fret. cool feature although not something used in every song...unless that's you're thing in which case rock on. then you have a octaplus for type 6 which can either go up 2 octaves or down 2 octaves. and finally my favorite thing about this pedal is the fade in distortion of option number 3. click it on and it's a phasor (handy by itself). once the pedal is held down the distortion fades in. controls vary the volume of the distortion, the length of time for the distortion to fade in, and the prescense of the phase until foot is let off. amazing.
  • Good Points: sitar simulator, fade in distortion from phasor, overdrive, 3 variations of distortion (1 with wah), and octaplus all in 1 stompbox.
  • Bad Points: the corny name

  • Just thought I'd review this. I do not own one, but was amazed at the features. They've crammed Distortion, Auto-Wah, Pitch Shifting, Phaser, and Reverb. Into one pedal. This is the future of digital stomp boxes I think. If it only sounded better it would be one amazing pedal. The sound isn't really bad, just not that great. If you are looking for a random pedal to have fun with - I'd almost recommend one of these. The potential for a feedback loop is insane with this thing, as it can be any one of the above mention effects. By cramming them all in there there is less of an option to change the settings around, but I'm pretty blown away at the idea of this thing. If I ever see one used, it's mine.
