  • The other reviews on "The Edge" pedal and the Psycho Acoustic Processor, were so bad I had to throw my two cents in. First off...ITS NOT FOR ACOUSTICS...the term psycho-acoustic means it changes how you perceive the sound coming out of your speakers..it does essentially what a BBE maximizer does, divides the signal into three frequency shelves and slightly delays two of these shelves so it sounds more in the proper phase and therefore clearer to your ears. At least that is my understanding. I know that some of these type devices also use phase inversion and side chain blah blah blah.....basically it just clears up your sound and brings back some lost sparkle.
  • Good Points: The best thing is they are unknown and cheap. I own a stereo rack BBE which I use on my stereo rig but I use this on my leslie speaker that I have as a side system.
  • Bad Points: It doesn't have a knob to control where the frequency can be shifted like BBE devices but it is made specifically for a guitars frequency range.

  • Well I have it for well over a year and I still can't figure what the hell is this pedal supposed to do. Sometimes it clarifies the sound, sometimes it makes pedals feedback like hell. Strange, strange, strange. Not really useful, don't bother about it.
  • Good Points: - sometimes it clarifies the sound
  • Bad Points: - eeeeeerrrmm what the hell does it do?

  • Its already been said, a big time one trick pony. Its a lot like The Edge, also by DOD. Adds a lot of high end, to the point of usually bringing out feedback (if there isnt some already). Not very useful, but doesn't hurt to have it in your chain, its a nice little boost.
  • Good Points: Feedback-inducing when used in the right chain Level meter is cool
  • Bad Points: One trick pony Tends to sell at high prices
  • Price Paid: US$20.00

  • Well this is just about as much as a one trick poney as you could ever imagin... But it does do one thing well: With the prosses knob cranked it can make a DOD death metal feedback like mad, well actualy any high gain device - but especialy with the Death Metal...
  • Good Points: Has a few uses.. LED meters are cool!.. can make some nice feedback...
  • Bad Points: Very limited use...
