- Just picked the vlz3 version of this mixer for 239 brand new at guitar center. This mixer is well built with plenty of routing options, perfect for noise. Just routing the aux sends to various channels to get a feedback loop going gave me some cool sounds. Driving the channels pretty hard gave me some really thick distortion.
- Good Points: Routing options for this size of a mixer.Line amps distort nicely. Built like a tank. Price I paid.

- I have a 1202-VLZ, which came out a bit before the "3" and it's a fabulous mixer. As nice as it is to make noise inside a PC, there is something satisfying about external hardware: adding another mic (or two or three) through very good preamps without a fuss, adding external noise sources, and so on. A pedal loop can be used as an external effect and mixed to each channel independently.
- Good Points: Solidly built, roadworthy. More mixer than most noisicians need, for noise. Can be used for recording without fuss. Good prices to be found since so many are switching to PC-only noise.
- Bad Points: More mixer than most noisicians need, for noise.

- I have the "1202-VLZ PRO" model... which from the looks of it is the exact same mixer, minus that fancy pencil holder or whatever it is... Anyways, The mixer is perfect for me... It's really very straight forward and I figured it out just messing with it. the 3-band EQ is extremely useful for shaping/toning down or boosting frequencies. My only problem with it is that it seems to be a tad noisy. (I've been told this may not be related to the mixer itself tho) and the power cord jack seems a bit wobbly just from plugging it in and taking it out from time to time... It died on me during a show while setting up, but I put the plug in a different socket on the power strip and it worked fine.
- Good Points: Fair amount of inputs as long as you don't need to hook up a trillion things, Sounds good with whatever I have to plug into it (be it guitars, mics, drum machines, pedals, or whatever), The EQ can prove extremely useful. It's also not too heavy to carry around.
- Bad Points: Just a little noisy on it's own and I've had some issues with it's power supply.
