Mid-Fi Electronics Pitch Pirate

Mid-Fi Electronics Pitch Pirate

The Mid-Fi Electronics Pitch Pirate is like a pitch vibrato that goes to ahhhh....70! Instead of modulating a semitone or so it does about an octave. Its like turning the knobs on a delay, but it does it itself. Try it on something staccato. It will completely fuck it up!

  • This pedal takes the sound you feed into it, and makes it into a weird, extremely warbly, tape corroded, squeak vibrato heaven. This thing will do square wave/ triangle wave vibrato, to such an extreme as to be mythical. I'm not sure how useful it is exactly for most noise as usually when i play stuff through this thing i totally crack up, it's pretty ridicolous. So not for the serious dudes. But for ugly psychedelic swirls of disgust, this thing rules. pretty expensive though..
  • Good Points: werid and amazing vibrato.
  • Bad Points: pricy, kind of a one trick pony(its a good trick, however)
  • Price Paid: US$150.00

  • great vibrato pedal, switchable between triangle and squarewave, similar to eh pulsar... turning the depth knob very slightly and continuously gives a great wobble sound, kind of like an old vhs tape that has been recorded over again for ages... changes the tone quite a bit when engaged, cuts highs and lows, boosts mids...this can be good or bad... great when used with feedback loop.
  • Good Points: well built. sweet vibrato. amazing old record or vhs sound. wet/dry or only wet switch. triangle or square waveforms.
  • Bad Points: changes tone a lot. cuts almost all bass. (can be compensated for by using before a turbo tubescreamer, bass fuzz or other bass boosting overdrive)
  • Price Paid: US$175.00
  • Purchased At: from doug (pedal designer)
