  • oddly enough, i never tried the floop with this pedal. my general setup, is five distortions in a row, with maybe a phaser or a filter snuck in between to produce harsh walls. now i keep this one toward the begining and it is a powerhouse! with the morphing ability to blend between full on fuzzness, to thick bassy distortion makes this a very versatile pedal. it has dual outputs(clean and effected) solid metal constuction, backlit blue led face and controls for, drive, level treble, mid and fuzz/distortion.
  • Good Points: great construction, easy to use, and very versatile
  • Bad Points: real heavy pedal and if dropped the batterycover/ foot pedal may pop off... and though it hasn't happened with this one it happened with my overdrive.

  • going off the last review and the mark down at musicians fiend, i decided to take the plunge. a very excellent pedal that will do everything that was said below. one thing to note though is that it isnt as bassy as say a dod super american metal, but what it does add is a great mid range warm distortion, and i wasnt looking for another clone of a pedal ive got. deffinately prefer the distortion end of things for balls to the wall, but the fuzz side will give you some nice high pitched whine...not the last distortion, but deffinately an addition to the arsenal.
  • Good Points: heavy diecast build easy battery access it has a backlit display...oooh pretty... not an ugly color good distortion fuzz...
  • Bad Points: kind of big, but beyond that nothing really...

  • I have only used the Fuzzstortion with a guitar up to now. Outside of a feedback loop, this pedal offers largely uninspiring variations on a pair of sonic pallettes, fuzz and distortion. When it is placed in a feedback loop, however, the sonic mayhem begins ... it is possible to make it oscillate like a Harley motor, scream bloody murder, or sputter like a dying hornet in a blender; all depeding on where the fuzz/dist, level, and drive knobs are set ... and the aforementioned cacophony is even more intense with modulation effects in the same chain.
  • Good Points: It looks high tech with its backlit display, offers both fuzz and distortion for varied sonic mutilation, is constructed almost entirely of METAL, can sound nifty in a feedback loop, is going for peanuts on clearance (at the moment), and comes with a spiffy carrying bag and AC chain adapter that can allow it to power other Sabine pedals. Also, it is possible to overcome its inability to be powered by a standard Power-all type device by temporarily removing the fastening spring and Jerry rigging a standard 9V coupler adapter to its battery port. The internal switch still engages just fine with a wire running out of the top part of the stomp/battery plate.
  • Bad Points: The pedal, itself, is a slightly irregular size and does not have an AC Adapter jack that is compatible with units similar to the Guyatone Power-all ... and its on-board power linking adapter(s) can not power any other pedals but those manufactured by Sabine. In addition, the tones it produces can be boring outside of a feedback loop, the second output seems useless (unless you intend to use an outboard tuner), and it produces a massive wall of white noise if it is placed in front of a high gain signal (which may actually be to some users' liking ... but I prefer pink noise, myself).
