Sirkut Electronics Gnarler

Sirkut Electronics Gnarler

Oscillator Feedback Distortion unit. When left alone, it will oscillate your innards and with a tweak of a pot (there are 2) you can change the frequency and the distortion. Witness the strange sounds from such a simple circuit!

  • This just might be the harshest pedal that I have ever used. The highs are fucking ear splitting. Lows are rumbling death. The built in distortion is rough and gritty.
  • Good Points: The highs are fucking ear splitting. Lows are rumbling death. The built in distortion is rough and gritty. Good gain. Pretty design. Amazing tone control in a feedback loop.
  • Bad Points: No volume control, only two knobs. No battery option.

  • awesome... arpeggiating crazyosity... Kills "tone" and then has sex with it's corpse repeatedly over the course of several months before eating it... It gnarls everything... It's essentially a noise synth with an input as any sort of boosting effect makes a loud buzz, even when you aren't playing anything through it.
  • Good Points: It's the noisiest f-ing effect I've ever used, ever... but I don't have a large number of FX right now...
  • Bad Points: nothing yet... an LED would be nice...
  • Price Paid: US$42.00

  • this thing is, is all the other sirkut stuff, a sweet little thing... it's B R O O T A L!!! destroys any signal completely! there is absolutely no mercy what so ever...
  • Good Points: looks good full of fun... sounds AWESOME
  • Bad Points: this is not a bad point for me, but, you should be aware of its unrelenting destruction of your signals... but, this is what I love about it!!

  • My first piece from Sirkut Electronics...The Gnarler provides a fukd rad distortion /frequency boost using two control knobs. The right knob provides a high freq sizzle while the left seems to distort the lower end or oscillate...When not receiving a signal the gnarler can produce some beautiful high pitch sounds that make this worth the money alone....Seriously I have found myself just sitting there turning the knob to hear/feel this high high pitch. The gnarler likes you to feed it loud signals/works great in a chain. All around useful/interesting pedal-RECCOMENDED.
  • Good Points: -Boosts your highs /makes the them rich!! -You will be glad you purchased this!!!
  • Bad Points: None

  • i don't know what the hell this does or why, but it sounds totally gross.. oscillator and distortion that acts like both. mix in disgusting tones with a crunchy distortion, fully tweakable via two knobs and a bypass switch. sort of a Sirkut RMOD on steroids, without the ring.. if that makes sense?!
  • Good Points: its called "the gnarler".. i mean, c'mon!
  • Bad Points: none yet.. except maybe that its too brutal!
