I've heard people say that the range on this isn't good -- the complaint is that with the heel rocked back, it mutes the sound. Perhaps this is coming from people using horrible recording or live gear, uncapable of reproducing the bowel-churning lows that come out of it. My suggestion: hang onto the pedal and toss your speakers if you think this is weak. So far, I haven't been too impressed with the upper range -- it's not quite as smooth as I'd like it to be, as it sound a little crackly. There's three settings, mainly adjusting the contour position and upper frequency ranges. All have a distinct sound. I personally like them all. I wouldn't want any bass wah in all of my setups. But if it's a bass wah I need, this is it. Mine was heavily discounted because the knob on the volume pot was missing, but it was otherwise new.
