The Top Hat Xpressor is an overdrive pedal whose gain structure is shaped by a single Drive control that sets the amount of distortion, while a Tone control adjusts the high-frequency content to brighten or darken the output. Its Level control determines the overall output volume, allowing the pedal to act as a clean boost at low Drive settings or push an amplifier into further saturation at higher settings. The pedal is housed in a compact stompbox enclosure with a true bypass footswitch that preserves the dry signal when disengaged.
