Visual Sound 1 SPOT 9VDC/1700mA Adapter NW1

Visual Sound 1 SPOT 9VDC/1700mA Adapter NW1

The 1 SPOT is the original 9V adapter that only takes up one spot on your power strip! With the ability to handle up to 1700mA, the 1 SPOT can power your entire pedalboard with room to spare. The 1 SPOT makes it easy by providing a guaranteed list of adapters it can replace. They are: Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC109, Zoom AD-0006. If your pedal takes one of these adapters (a 90% chance), you can use the 1 SPOT. Click here to see the complete 1 SPOT Compatibility Chart. New technology even allows you to use the 1 SPOT anywhere in the world without a voltage converter because it automatically converts voltage worldwide. If you worried about AC hum coming through an adapter don't be. The 1 SPOT is one of the most quiet power sources you can buy. If you need to power more than one pedal, just get the optional Multi-Plug 5 cable. It connects the 1 SPOT with up to 5 pedals and can be connected to additional cables to power more pedals.

  • cheap, pays for itself in saved batteries very quickly. especially if you have an old pedal like the Boss PS-2 that'll eat a whole battery in less than a day. mine came with an adapter that lets you hook up 6 pedals total.
  • Good Points: - still working after a year of abuse
  • Bad Points: - isn't free
  • Price Paid: US$20.00

  • This is a great way to power your pedals. As mentioned below, you can chain the extensions together to power many pedals. I have used it to power 9 pedals and have not noticed any additional noise. In fact, several of my Nano Electro Harmonix pedals hum less with this than running off of a 9v battery.
  • Good Points: -Saves batteries. -Extensions can be chained together. -Extensions for different types of adapter jacks available.
  • Bad Points: -None.

  • This has made life so much easier... I don't notice any added noise... I got the 8 plug version and ordered a second mc-5 chain for when I need it... You will be glad you got one of these... I want to get a second one dedicated to powering my 9V keyboards.
  • Good Points: Takes up one spot. Powers nearly every pedal. Not much added noise that I can hear. I can use less 9Vs and as a result waste less money and not end up tossing 9v batteries into a landfill. Very affordable. Very easy to set up.
  • Bad Points: Sometimes the wires get to be a big mess... They need to be bundled and tucked under/around patch cables and things to keep it in place. That's about it, though.
  • Price Paid: US$35.00
  • Purchased At: eBay

  • Use it, you'll thank yourself.
  • Good Points: Gets the job done, can easily add on five more adapters (just clip it on the end, unlike Boss' daisy chain) and save you a lot of headache.
  • Bad Points: Be careful not to unplug anything.
