The G Series effects pedals are the most powerful Zoom has introduced to date. All are based on an all-new ZFX-3 processor: 32-Bit Processing, 96kHz sampling, 24-Bit A/D, D/A converters. Optimized for bass guitar, the Zoom B2 comes with seven effects modules with 45 effects types, an ultra-wide frequency response of 20Hz-40kHz (which is 20kHz wider than some pro-quality recording studio preamps), a built-in drum machine with 40 rhythm patterns and an integrated chromatic tuner.

  • I have the B2.1u version. You can combine some serious shit with this box. Turn your bass into an alien spaceship, make strange noises with it. Use the ring modulator combined with flanger or pedal pitch, set the synth effect on and fill your soul with out-of-this-world noises!
  • Good Points: LOTS of choices, lots of possibilities

  • What a great all-around effects unit! Originally bought it for bass applications, but the multi-effects really shine for noise!! My fave is the ring modulator....link it to the digital delay and the reverb, you get awesome ambient soundscape tones while using an instrument. I'm looking forward to hooking up a few pedals with this to hear how it really shines.
  • Good Points: - sturdy metal construction with rubber ends - durable metal switches/knobs - oodles of tweakable effects: inc. delays, echos, choruses, ring mod, distortions - 40 user presets to save your own patches - optional foot controller to control many effect parameters - affordable!! - ability to chain many effects together
  • Bad Points: not a one!
