  • a dozen years I've used this as my primary delay on stage work. Solid, Reliable, and fun. I especially love in in conjunction with the boss harmonist.
  • Good Points: fairly good doorstop, can be abused.
  • Bad Points: 2 batteries cost more than one.
  • Price Paid: US$60.00
  • Purchased At: some weird guitar store

  • I've owned the Boss DM-2 and 3, the Ibanez AD-9, and the DOD 585. The 585 has the best sounding organic delays of all of them. The self-oscilation is incredible as well, if not a little hard to control. If you want self-oscilations that sound like Flying Saucer Attack get the DM-3, if you want self-oscilations that sound like a flying saucer landing get the 585 for half the price.
  • Good Points: Warm, clear analog delay. Incredible self-oscilations. Cheaper than most analog delays.
  • Bad Points: 18 volt power supply. Self-oscilations can be hard to control.
  • Price Paid: US$50.00
  • Purchased At: Craigs List
