- This Tubescreamer is apparently the cheapo one, yet the mannual states it has the same circuitry as the TS-9, so why is it half the price? surely we're not paying all that extra money for the pastel green chassis? Anyway, this pedal has an extra "hot" setting which gives it more growl and it is needed because the normal setting is feeble on its own. However put this before a cranked up valve amp and suddenly your life is complete! The legendary status is now understood! This is an excellent booster but quite plain on its lonesome, decent tonal range and the tone-lok idea knobs is a good one...set and forget.
- Good Points: Cheap, good build, excellent battery access, tone-lok knobs, booster qualities.
- Bad Points: Dull overdrive on its own, Branded the poor mans tubescreamer coz it aint pastel green!!???!
